Dr Hajah Siti Haziah binti Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin

Dr. Hajah Siti Haziah graduated from the University of Nottingham with a medical degree in 1995. She pursued postgraduate degrees in Medical Education, Family Medicine, and Occupational Medicine. She has more than 20 years of experience in leadership positions with the Ministry of Health, and Brunei Shell Petroleum Company. Dr. Siti is a believer in 'kind leadership' and has led teams in both public and private sectors to achieve high performance and turnaround results. She advocates for equipping young people with life skills and mindset for future readiness. She supports the ISB BGIC platform to promote the participation and voices of young leaders in building sustainable and resilient societies.

“Needing a mixture of skills is important to overcome and adapt to challenges that are faced in life. There are multiple skills that are important, and I’ve personally used all throughout my career, naming them they are digital literacy, critical thinking and public solving, creativity and innovation, communication, adaptability, growth mindset, emotional awareness or self-awareness, integrity and values as well as, remembering our culture and history that helps make us unique.”

“Another thing is embracing change whether you like it or not. The world is changing rapidly, especially technologically. Therefore, being able to adapt and be flexible to the digitalization of the world and what challenges you face...going out of your comfort zone because life is unpredictable. Especially, in my case, I had two turning points in my life where I had to make the tough decisions, about whether I took on another role, or stayed in my current position, as a doctor. Being ready to embrace that challenge and not being afraid to seek help. Another thing is that I’ve been asked by multiple people if I have ever regretted my choices - and no, I don’t believe in regret, I believe in moving forward.”

Yang Mulia Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah

Deputy Managing Director / Commercial Director, Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd

Hj Azmi is a Chemical and Process Engineering graduate from the University of Surrey who started his career as a Graduate Process Engineer at Brunei Shell Petroleum. He has over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including positions at BSP, a 4-year posting in Oman, and a 5-year secondment to the Energy Department at the Prime Minister's Office (EDPMO), and the Ministry of Energy and Industry. He is currently the BSP Commercial Director and Deputy Managing Director and, serves on the boards of TAP and SHENA.
