Empowering Leaders: Insights from ISB 21st BGIC 2026 Training Session

On 6^th of March 2026, 200+ students and teacher-advisers from 20+ schools attended the first delegrate training session of the 21^st ISB Borneo Global Issues Conference (BGIC) 2026, held at International School Brunei (ISB). This included live streaming for Shizuoka Seiko Academy based in Japan. 

The delegates and teacher-advisers were led to the Theatre, where they were briefed by the  Secretaries-Generals. Delegates were introduced to ISB BGIC, briefed on conference rules and procedures, and they got to know their Secretaries-General and committee chairs. The Secretaries-General and committee chairs simulated a mock debate for the delegates, demonstrating the formal debate proceedings and terminology. 

The delegates were then directed to their respective committee rooms where each committee began separate ice-breaking activities; delegates introduced themselves and their personal interests. Finally, committee chairs outlined formal procedures and expectations for the actual conference days from 10^th - 13^th April 2026.
